WHAT DOES ORGANISING A FREEDOM MEAL INVOLVE?
Special encounters at the dinner table, bringing the neighborhood closer together and conversations about themes that you don't think about every day; freedom, lack of freedom, what does that mean in your life? With a freedom meal you expand your world. And are you organizing one? Then you are the driving force behind a new Hague tradition. And that brings - in addition to eternal fame - many grateful fellow citizens with it!

To ensure you reach as many residents of The Hague as possible for your meal, we're happy to help you get started with useful communication materials. The 2026 toolkit is currently in development. You'll soon find images, ready-made texts, and promotional materials to promote your meal here.

Performance seeks Freedom Table
Are you a musician, artist, poet, artist or (theatre) maker and would you like to perform for your fellow citizens on Monday 5 May 2025? Let us know via info@haagsevrijheidsmaaltijden.nl . We will happily connect you to Vrijheidstafels that are looking for performances.
What do you get from us?
Materials kit including posters, invitations, image icons (dove), banners for the site and a manifesto full of promotional text and explanations that you can use.
After registering with the National Committee, you can request cans of soup, placemats, conversation cards and glasses.
Help, coaching and advice in planning your meal.
We are happy to connect you to other clubs and organizations.
We are organizing a kick-off meeting in early 2025 where you can meet all the co-organizers and get inspired.

The meal: ask guests to bring a dish to share, serve the (freshly made) Freedom Soup or make a 3-course meal. You can make it as big or small as you want!
The guests at the table. Invite people to the table who do not know each other yet. How do you inform the people in your neighborhood?
Give your meal something extra with a performance or conversation starters. We are happy to help you with that.
